The Uplifting Populations Support Initiative - Delivering EMDR (UPSIDE) helps eligible EMDRIA members advance toward EMDRIA Certified Therapist™ or EMDRIA Approved Consultant™ status.
Recipients receive financial assistance for eligible consultation, an EMDRIA online educational opportunity and access to program activities and professional connections.
Who Can Participate?
To apply, you must:
- Be a licensed mental health professional whose license meets the requirements for EMDRIA Certification
- Have completed an EMDRIA Approved EMDR Training
- Be a current EMDRIA member and maintain your membership throughout the program
- Live in the United States
- Demonstrate a professional, volunteer, or community leadership commitment to expanding access to EMDR therapy
Applicants may pursue support toward EMDRIA Certified Therapist™ or Approved Consultant™ status.
How It Works
1. Review the requirements
Confirm that you meet the eligibility requirements and understand the program’s benefits and expectations.
2. Prepare your materials
You will nee the following information for your application:

3. Submit the online application
Complete and upload all requested documents by the application deadline.
4. Application review
The UPSIDE Selection Committee evaluates eligible applications using the program’s established criteria and makes award recommendations to the EMDRIA Foundation Board.
5. Award notification
All applicants are notified after the review process. Selected participants receive instructions about agreements, consultation arrangements, program benefits, and next steps.
